Support for Intermediaries
A robust network of high-quality intermediaries is a key piece of market infrastructure that facilitates the connecting of capital to effective nonprofits. Over the last 15 years a number of intermediaries have become established on both a national and local level that focus on scaling efforts, including ones that are part of the Social Innovation Fund (SIF). The Social Impact Exchange helps intermediaries secure funding for their portfolios by:
- Featuring their grantees in its Investment Fair, Annual Conference and Business Plan Competition;
- Sharing their grantees with Exchange Funder Working Groups and broader networks in education, youth, poverty and health, as well as featuring a select group of well-vetted nonprofit organizations that are undergoing growth capital campaigns in the Scaling Marketplace.
- Housing their grantees on its S&I 100 for distribution to donor advised funds, private banks and multi-family offices for funding.
- Housing their grantees on its SIF Foundation Registry - an online platform where foundations can easily identify and consider matching funds for eligible Social Innovation Fund subgrantees and intermediaries.
