Symposium on Scaling Social Impact

The first Symposium on Scaling Social Impact took place on June 14, 2011 in New York City. The Symposium brought together nonprofit organizations, funders, professional service providers and academics to:
- Watch the final round of the Exchange’s 2011 Business Plan Competition
- Gain insight from organizations in the process of scaling
- Develop knowledge and skills for business plan development
- Acquire critical leadership skills necessary to grow an organization, and
- Network with their peers.

Six organizations – 10,000 Degrees, LiveWell Colorado, WINGS for Kids, Admission Possible, BELL, and Community Solutions – presented their plans before an audience of 250 people and responded to questions from a panel of experts.
