2013 Symposium

The 2013 Symposium on Scaling Social Impact took place on June 17, 2013 in New York City. The Symposium brought together nonprofit organizations, funders, professional service providers and academics to:

  • witness the final round of the Social Impact Exchange’s 2013 Business Plan Competition
  • gain insight from nonprofits and their funders engaged together in scaling impact
  • participate in one-on-one consultations to develop knowledge and skills for scaling impact
  • hear about a new cross-sector collaboration: the Initiative for Nonprofit Talent and Leadership

Six organizations –  Center for Supportive Schools, Friends of the Children, The Hill Center, Juma Ventures, Roca and The WorkPlace – presented their plans before an audience of 250 people and responded to questions from a panel of experts.
